Who can take part

  • You are an adult (over 18).
  • You are scheduled for an endovenous procedure for trunk varicose veins using local anesthesia.
  • Your planned treatment method includes one of these: radiofrequency, laser, mechanochemical, foam sclerotherapy, or cyanoacrylate (glue).
  • You do not need full-dose blood thinners for another reason (like atrial fibrillation).
  • You have no personal or close-family history of blood clots in the legs/lungs (VTE) and you don’t have known clotting disorders (thrombophilia).
  • You don’t have bleeding problems or unsafe recent events (like recent major surgery/trauma or recent stroke), and you can consent.
