Who can take part

  • You are scheduled for a planned (not emergency) hip or knee replacement.
  • You are 18 years or older.
  • You are not currently taking blood thinners (like Lovenox, Eliquis, Xarelto, or warfarin).
  • You do not have an active cancer that required treatment in the last 6 months (except minor skin cancers).
  • You can speak and understand Dutch well enough to participate.
  • You are not pregnant.
