Who can take part

  • Your baby has esophageal atresia with a small abnormal link between the esophagus and windpipe
  • Surgery is planned to reconnect the esophagus, either right away or later
  • The team confirms the diagnosis during surgery using standard checks
  • Your baby weighs at least 2.5 kg
  • Your baby is not allergic to ICG or iodine/iodide
  • There are no major heart or kidney problems, and the team does not need exchange transfusion for high bilirubin
