Safety and effectiveness of GMCN-508A for transfusion-dependent alpha thalassemia

  • You (or your legal guardian) can understand the study and sign consent
  • Age 5 to 35, any gender
  • You have transfusion-dependent alpha thalassemia (regular red-blood-cell transfusions in the last 24 weeks)
  • You have a good activity/health score (Karnofsky or Lansky at least 70)
  • Your doctor plans you for autologous stem cell transplant and conditioning
  • If you could become pregnant, you agree to effective birth control during the study
