Who can take part
- You have typical symptoms and MRI shows a neck disc bulge or narrowing in the C3 to C7 range
- Your symptoms have not improved after 3+ months of non-surgical (conservative) treatment
- You are scheduled to receive “single open-door” surgery for cervical spinal stenosis
- You (and your family) agree to take part and complete follow-up after surgery
- You do not have certain causes or conditions such as trauma, tumor, tuberculosis, or metabolic bone disease
- You are not having a repeat surgery, or a surgery that combines front and back approaches
