Who can take part

  • You are 18 years old or older.
  • You have a condition where your spinal cord is being squeezed in your neck (cervical spondylotic myelopathy) and your doctor says surgery is needed.
  • You are willing and able to give your written permission to join the trial.
  • You haven't had any neck surgery before.
  • You do not have severe health problems that would make surgery too risky.
  • You do not have a bad curve in your neck (kyphosis), a broken neck, infection, tumor, or severe joint problems in your neck.
