Who can take part
- A child age 1.5 to 18 years
- They have primary nephrotic syndrome that responds to steroids (not steroid-resistant)
- Kidney filtering test is normal or near normal (eGFR 90 or higher)
- Blood and urine show active disease (low albumin and heavy morning urine protein, or high urine protein ratio)
- They have not used prednisone, other steroids, or certain immune medicines in the last 3 months
- Parent/guardian consent is available, and the child/guardian agrees to join
