Who can take part

  • You are between 6 and 18 years old and have nephrotic syndrome that started between ages 1 and 18.
  • Your nephrotic syndrome is either steroid-dependent or frequently relapsing, even with maintenance therapy.
  • You have been on oral prednisolone, with or without mycophenolate or levamisole, for at least 6 months and still have poor control or side effects.
  • You have had a relapse or partial relapse within the last year that needed more steroids, but you are now in complete remission.
  • You are able to check your urine for protein daily and follow the study instructions.
  • You have not used rituximab or other B-cell depleting drugs in the past year and do not have certain eye, kidney, or infection problems.
