Monitoring blood sugar swings to predict type 1 diabetes

Who can take part

  • You are between 5 and 39 years old
  • You do not currently have diabetes based on standard diagnosis criteria
  • Your blood tests show diabetes-related autoantibodies (IAA, GADA, IA-2A, and/or ZnT8A) that stay positive
  • If you are pregnant or breastfeeding (or recently postpartum), you cannot join
  • You should not use medicines that affect the immune system or blood sugar (like steroids or diabetes pills)
  • You should not have had major stomach surgery for weight loss (like gastric bypass/banding) or pancreas surgery
