Who can take part

  • You have squamous cell lung cancer that can be removed by surgery (stage II to IIIA) and you have not had cancer treatment before.
  • Your overall health/function is good to okay, such as ECOG performance status of 0 or 2.
  • Your doctors can measure at least one visible cancer spot on scans that meets study size rules.
  • Your organs (like blood counts, kidneys, and liver) are working well enough for treatment.
  • You do not have a different lung cancer type (no mixed adenocarcinoma or small cell lung cancer).
  • You do not have certain recent cancers, active autoimmune disease, or recent immune-suppressing medicines.
