Testing a new drug for IgA kidney disease with high risk

Who can take part

  • You have primary IgA kidney disease confirmed by a kidney biopsy within the last 10 years
  • You have been on the highest tolerated ACE inhibitor or ARB dose for at least 90 days before screening (unless you can’t tolerate it)
  • Your urine protein levels are high (from a 24-hour urine test) so you are considered at higher risk
  • Your kidney filtering function (eGFR) is at least 20 (with diabetes ruled out; see questions below)
  • You are up to date on certain meningitis, pneumonia, and Hib vaccines
  • If you can become pregnant, you must use reliable birth control
