Who can take part
- You have Crohn’s disease and need an ileocaecal resection (surgery removing a section near the ileum and cecum).
- You are 18 years or older.
- You are not pregnant and are not breastfeeding.
- Your surgery is not for a return of Crohn’s disease after a previous operation (not a surgical recurrence).
- Your operation is not an emergency surgery for peritonitis (a severe abdominal infection).
- You can safely receive fluorescein dye (no allergy or contraindication to fluorescein or related drugs).
