- You are at least 18 years old and a U.S. veteran
- You have chronic nerve (neuropathic) pain
- You are currently receiving pain treatment at the Cleveland VA Medical Center
- You already use tonic paraesthesia-based spinal cord stimulation (SCS) with about 50% pain relief, or you are in a planned SCS trial period
- You can give informed consent and are medically and psychologically stable
- No metal in the skull and no skull shape problems that would interfere with monitoring
