Who can take part
- You are at least 18 years old
- Your neck symptoms are caused by nerve or spinal cord pressure between C2 and T1 (neck/upper spine), causing pain, numbness/tingling, weakness, abnormal reflexes, or even paralysis
- Your neck/arm pain is significant and you have disability on the NDI (needs to be above 30%)
- You have neck disc/arthritis/spinal narrowing at one or two levels (C2 to T1) that fits with surgery (front approach: discectomy, decompression, fusion)
- You tried non-surgery care for about 6 weeks without enough relief (or your symptoms are worsening sooner) and you’re cleared medically for surgery
- You can follow the study steps: sign consent, fill out forms, and attend follow-up visits
