Who can take part

  • You have been diagnosed with idiopathic Parkinson’s disease by a movement-disorders neurologist
  • Your Parkinson’s symptoms include slow movement (bradykinesia) with at least one of: resting tremor, stiffness, or balance problems
  • You do not have other major conditions that could strongly affect walking or turning (for example, major nerve, inner ear, stroke, or head injury problems)
  • You can stand and walk for 2 minutes without an assistive device
  • Your Parkinson’s stage is Hoehn & Yahr level II to III
  • Your thinking and memory are good enough to do the tests (MoCA score 21 or higher)
