Study of risk factors for complications after major surgery
Part of Heart & circulation clinical trials.
This study looks at patients who've had major abdominal, bone, or blood-vessel surgery to understand what factors make some people more likely to have complications afterward. It analyzes information already collected from hospitals to help doctors better predict and prevent problems.

This study looks at how often and why complications happen after heart surgery, using information from the hospital stay. It may help improve care by understanding postoperative risks and outcomes.
This study follows people after planned, higher-risk surgery to learn what complications happen and how patients do long-term. It may help doctors predict risks and improve care for people having similar operations.
This study follows patients who have had major surgery to track what problems may develop afterward and how often they occur. Understanding these complications helps doctors improve care and patient safety.
This study is looking at how common complications are after surgery around the world. It wants to include many different types of surgeries and patients, to better understand and improve surgical safety.
This study looks at ways to predict and prevent serious problems like death or heart complications after major heart or blood vessel surgeries. It involves two parts: first, a check to see if you're at higher risk, and second, extra monitoring during surgery if needed.
This study checks blood and other lab “biomarkers” during the time before and after major surgeries to see if they can help guide perioperative care. You might be eligible if you are having certain planned heart, lung, GI, or blood-vessel surgeries and can give informed consent.
