- Be age 18 to 85
- Have a usual sleep schedule: fall asleep between 10 pm and 1 am and wake between 5:30 am and 8:30 am (for healthy volunteers)
- Have vision that can be corrected to 20/30 and pass a basic eye exam without major eye problems
- Be medically stable and able to speak, understand, and read English at about a high-school level
- Avoid interfering meds and light-affecting eye drops around the study
- Avoid major conditions that can affect the eye/brain/sleep timing (like migraines, circadian sleep problems, diabetes, multiple sclerosis, Parkinson’s)
