Who can take part
- You have newly diagnosed stage II or III breast cancer (not spread to distant organs).
- Your tumor is ER-positive (ER more than 10%) and HER2-negative (tested by IHC or FISH showing 0–1+).
- You plan to have the breast tumor surgically removed after the pre-surgery (neoadjuvant) treatment, and have measurable or large enough disease on scans.
- You are postmenopausal and can do usual pre-surgery treatments your doctor recommends (an aromatase inhibitor and anthracycline/taxane chemotherapy).
- Your health is good enough for treatment (ECOG 0–1) and your blood counts/organs are within safe ranges.
- You can safely complete breast MRI with IV contrast.
