Fixing a shoulder AC joint injury with or without extra pins

Acromioclavicular Joint Dislocation

Who can take part

  • You are between 18 and 45 years old
  • Your shoulder AC joint injury is recent and classified as Rockwood type III, IV, or V
  • You have not had previous surgery on the same (injured) shoulder
  • You do not have certain other broken bones on the same side (such as ribs, collarbone, shoulder blade, or coracoid area fractures)
  • Your injury happened within the last 3 weeks
  • You are able to have arthroscopic (camera-assisted) CC-stabilization surgery
