Who can take part

  • You are between 65 and 85 years old.
  • If you have Alzheimer’s: a clinician has diagnosed “probable Alzheimer’s dementia.”
  • Your memory and thinking tests must fall within set ranges (MMSE roughly 10–26 for Alzheimer’s).
  • If you have Alzheimer’s: you must have hallucinations and/or delusions.
  • You must not have certain brain or medical problems (like prior stroke, or major other neurologic disorders).
  • You must be able to complete study procedures (including lying still/flat for about 1 hour, and meeting hearing requirements).
