Study of vision outcomes in people with severe myopia

This study follows about 1,000 people with severe nearsightedness to better understand their eye health over time. If you have severe myopia and can be seen at one of the study centers, you may be able to contribute to research that can help guide future care.

Who can take part

  • Be age 6 or older
  • Have severe myopia in at least one eye (very strong nearsightedness or longer eye length)
  • Be able to have follow-up visits at one of the participating eye centers
  • Agree to join the study (parent/guardian consent if under 18)
  • Have health insurance through a plan that covers you in the study
  • Not be pregnant or breastfeeding
