Who can take part

  • You are between 18 and 55 years old.
  • You have severe nearsightedness (high myopia) with an eye length of at least 26.5 mm in both eyes.
  • You have a specific type of retinal thinning called 'diffuse' or 'patch' choroidal atrophy in your better eye (your doctor can confirm this).
  • You are willing to be seen at one of the participating hospitals for checkups.
  • You do not have a known genetic syndrome causing myopia, and you are not pregnant or breastfeeding.
