This observational study follows people ages 18–50 who had a first TIA (“mini-stroke”) or an acute ischemic stroke to better understand what happens after the event. It may help improve future care by tracking symptoms, imaging findings, and recovery over time.

Who can take part
- You are 18 to 50 years old
- This was your first-ever TIA or acute ischemic stroke
- Your diagnosis was confirmed with a brain scan (CT or MRI)
- Your kidney function is good enough (eGFR greater than 30)
- You can safely take part in MRI at 3 Tesla if needed
- You can read and understand Dutch well enough for consent and follow-up
