Who can take part
- Be between 28 days old and under 18 years at the time consent is signed
- Have a bone marrow transplant from a donor (an allogeneic HSCT)
- Have HSCT-TMA, shown by low or rapidly falling platelets plus blood changes like hemolysis
- Be considered “high-risk,” such as lasting more than 2 weeks after changing certain anti-rejection medicines, or having kidney/nerve/GI/heart-lung signs
- Not be using eculizumab, ravulizumab, or defibrotide in the 3 months before starting (unless there’s documented failure)
- Not have certain exclusions like STEC-HUS, very low ADAMTS13, pregnancy/breastfeeding, or uncontrolled serious infections
