Who can take part
- You had your first-ever stroke and were admitted to the stroke unit at St. Olavs hospital
- You can understand the study and give consent (or have capacity to consent)
- Before the stroke, you were functioning well (Modified Rankin Scale score 2 or less)
- You have never had a prior stroke, brain surgery, or brain tumor
- You did not have epilepsy or seizures before the stroke, and you do not have certain brain conditions like hydrocephalus
