Who can take part

  • You are 45 years old or older.
  • You are currently in the hospital for a first-time mild to moderate stroke, a first-time seizure, or a sudden episode of memory loss (transient global amnesia).
  • You have not had a stroke or seizure before this event.
  • You do not have a neurodegenerative disease like dementia or Parkinson's.
  • You do not have severe kidney problems or metal implants that would stop you from having an MRI with contrast dye.
