Who can take part

  • You can freely consent and follow study instructions and visits
  • Age 25–75 years and able to complete all testing
  • Body mass index (BMI) between 27 and 45
  • Your blood sugar is in a borderline/high-risk range (from fasting glucose, glucose tolerance test, A1C, or insulin-resistance test)
  • You usually eat for at least 13 hours per day (your normal eating window is long)
  • You do NOT do shift work, are not pregnant/breastfeeding, and do not have a diagnosed eating disorder or sleep disorder
