Testing NY-ESO-1 T-cell therapy for advanced solid tumors

Advanced Solid Tumors

Treatments studied

Part of Cancer clinical trials.

This Phase 1 study tests a personalized immune therapy made from T cells to treat advanced solid cancers that carry a marker called NY-ESO-1. You may be able to join if your tumor shows the right NY-ESO-1 level and your body and lab tests can safely handle treatment.

Who can take part

  • You are between 18 and 70 years old, and you understand and can sign consent.
  • Your cancer is a solid tumor that has spread or come back, and it is confirmed by biopsy.
  • Your cancer has been tried with standard treatments and is no longer responding (or has progressed).
  • Your tumor has NY-ESO-1 on it at the required level (at least 25% positive cells, intensity “++” or higher).
  • You have the right blood type marker: HLA-A2, but not HLA-A*0203.
  • Your blood, liver, kidney, clotting tests, and heart scan meet the safety thresholds, and you can provide fresh or stored tumor tissue.
