Multisensory training for stroke-related side vision loss

This study tests whether special “multisensory” training can improve side vision loss (hemianopia) after a stroke. Participants attend testing and training sessions and are followed for about a year to see if vision and daily functioning change.

Who can take part
- You are 18 years or older
- Your doctor confirmed you have stroke-related homonymous hemianopia, and it was checked with a Humphrey vision test
- Your side vision loss has been present for at least 6 months (for the first part of the study) or less than 1 month (for the second part)
- You can speak and understand English well enough for study instructions
- You can attend all required visits and training (including a 12-month follow-up), or have reliable transportation (or study-provided rides)
- You don’t have major conditions that would affect thinking, vision, or ability to follow instructions
