Who can take part
- Your baby must be at least 36 weeks in the womb and enrolled within 6 hours of birth.
- A blood test right after birth must show certain signs of low oxygen (like low pH or high base deficit).
- Your baby must have mild signs of brain irritation (called encephalopathy), but not moderate or severe.
- Your baby cannot have serious brain bleeding, major birth defects, or other conditions that could affect the brain.
