It also studies brain signals using special recordings to see what changes may happen.

Who can take part
- Be 18 to 65 years old
- Be diagnosed with severe alcohol use disorder (AUD)
- Be currently in a 3- to 4-week detox program at CHU Brugmann’s Alcohol Unit in Brussels
- Do not have a history of neurological disorders
- Not have other serious medical conditions that could make the study unsafe
- Not be taking neuroleptic (antipsychotic) medication
