Who can take part

  • You have a confirmed diagnosis of ALS (probable or definite).
  • Your ALS symptoms started within the last 2 years.
  • You have never done this kind of respiratory (cough/breathing muscle) training before.
  • Your peak cough is weaker than expected for your age and gender.
  • You have no prior stroke, head/neck cancer, or other conditions that could also affect swallowing or breathing.
