Who can take part

  • Your child has been born with very severe (profound) hearing loss
  • Your child received a cochlear implant between 8 and 18 months of age
  • At the time of enrollment (in the study), your child is 11 to 21 months old
  • Your child has been wearing the implant all the time for the study period
  • Your child has had the cochlear implant for about 3 months
  • You (a parent) can speak French, and the other legal parent/guardian agrees
