Who can take part

  • You’re a Veteran age 18 to 89 and can take part through the VA Spinal Cord Injury registry
  • You have chronic spinal cord injury (more than 1 year since injury) and it’s graded A to D on the ASIA scale
  • Your neurologic injury level is T1 to S5, or you have a hereditary paraplegia type diagnosis
  • Your BMI is above 22 (the study’s obesity cutoff for people with spinal cord injury)
  • You currently eat within an average window of at least 10 hours per day (not a very short schedule already)
  • You are not pregnant, not breastfeeding, and not planning pregnancy in the next 6 months
