Who can take part
- Be age 18 to 65
- Have a BMI of 35 or higher
- Have diabetes—either type 2 diabetes or another diabetes type
- Be able to have pregnancy testing done and not be pregnant
- Be able to follow a plan to temporarily stop certain diabetes/lipid/pressure medicines if needed
- Be safe for MRI/PET-CT scans (no MRI contraindications) and weigh 200 kg or less
