Laparoscopic Gynecological Surgery

This study tests whether using special brain-wave monitoring and heart-signal information during anesthesia can improve your comfort and recovery after certain laparoscopic gynecologic surgeries. If you qualify, your anesthesia plan may be guided by these monitors to help standardize care and track recovery.

Who can take part

  • You are an adult woman scheduled for a laparoscopic gynecologic surgery.
  • Your planned procedure is one of these: hysterectomy (with or without removing tubes/ovaries), myomectomy, or certain laparoscope-guided ovarian procedures.
  • Your heart rhythm is steady and normal (regular sinus rhythm).
  • You do not have a pacemaker or other implanted device.
  • You are not pregnant or breastfeeding, and you can communicate with the team.
