Who can take part

  • Be age 18 or older
  • Have advanced GIST (gastrointestinal stromal tumor) confirmed on testing, with specific gene mutations (KIT or PDGFRA, and for one part also KIT exon 11)
  • Your cancer should have gotten worse after the standard medicine(s) for GIST (or you could not tolerate them, as described) and you must not have had ripretinib before (for the parts that enroll)
  • Have at least one measurable tumor spot on scans, plus enough health/lab test results to safely take study treatment
  • Be able to get a fresh tumor biopsy if your care team can safely do it
  • Be well enough to do daily activities (ECOG performance status 0–1) and have an estimated life expectancy of more than 3 months
