Who can take part
- You are between 20 and 85 years old
- You have ongoing heart failure that is moderate to severe (NYHA II to IV)
- You need a heart muscle biopsy because of your care (or you may be studied after a transplant, with a reason for biopsy)
- You can provide written informed consent (and understand the study well enough to decide)
- You are not currently pregnant
- You have no major recent infections, HIV/AIDS, or hepatitis B/C
