Who can take part

  • You are 18 years or older.
  • Your shoulder tear was confirmed on MRI as large/massive (>3 cm) involving two specific tendons (supraspinatus and infraspinatus).
  • You do not have shoulder joint arthritis (glenohumeral osteoarthritis).
  • Your shoulder symptoms score is not better than 60 (Western Ontario rotator cuff score must be 60 or less).
  • Your health is stable: diabetes is controlled (A1C 7% or less) and nutrition is adequate (albumin 30 g/L or higher).
  • You are not pregnant, have no infection, and you can understand and follow post-surgery instructions.
