Who can take part

  • You must have already agreed to and enrolled in the main NANO (parent) trial
  • Your baby must be part of the NANO study site where follow-up is offered
  • Your baby must have been born at 23.0 to 30.6 weeks of pregnancy (very premature)
  • Your baby must be an inborn baby at the study site (not transferred from another hospital)
  • The main trial excluded babies considered very low risk, very high risk, or too sick to survive; your baby would not have been enrolled if those applied

Probiotic study for infants who had antibiotics at birth
