Who can take part

  • You are between 18 and 65 years old.
  • You have been diagnosed with major depression (or you are a healthy volunteer for comparison).
  • You are willing to undergo MRI and TMS (noninvasive brain stimulation).
  • You have no history of seizures, epilepsy, or head injury with loss of consciousness.
  • You do not have metal implants or devices that prevent MRI or TMS.
  • You are not currently pregnant or planning to become pregnant.
