Predicting depression treatment response with brain imaging

This study uses a special headband (TD-fNIRS) that measures brain activity to see if it can predict how well different depression treatments work. You would be starting a new treatment for depression (like ketamine, SPRAVATO, TMS, or antidepressants) and wear the headband before and during treatment.

Who can take part

  • You are between 18 and 65 years old (or up to 75 if considering SPRAVATO treatment)
  • You have been diagnosed with major depressive disorder (MDD)
  • You are planning to start a new depression treatment (ketamine, SPRAVATO, TMS, or antidepressants)
  • You haven't had the same treatment in the past 3 to 12 months (depending on the treatment)
  • You can speak and read English fluently
  • You are not pregnant and can wear a headband that measures brain activity
