Who can take part

  • You have a small heart monitor implanted (like an event recorder) that can send information to your doctor.
  • You had a stroke or a TIA (mini-stroke) within the last 6 months that doctors couldn't find a clear cause for.
  • You are 40 years old or older.
  • You have at least one extra risk factor, such as a high stroke risk score (CHA2DS2VASc ≥4), short heart rhythm episodes, or enlarged heart chamber.
  • You are willing and able to record your heart's activity using a smartwatch and have a compatible smartphone.
  • You do not have a pacemaker or ICD, and you are not pregnant or breastfeeding.
