- You are 18 years or older.
- This is your first time having bypass surgery (CABG).
- You have severe blockages in all three major heart arteries (over 75% narrowed).
- Your surgery is planned (not an emergency) and not a repeat procedure.
- You do not have a positive wrist blood flow test, vasculitis, or Raynaud's syndrome.
- You do not have varicose or twisted leg veins that would make using your saphenous vein difficult.
