Predicting risk in left ventricular non-compaction

Left Ventricular Noncompaction

Part of Heart & circulation clinical trials.

This study is for adults who have been diagnosed with a condition called left ventricular non-compaction (LVNC). It aims to find out what might predict future health problems in people with this condition. By joining, you can help researchers learn more about LVNC and improve care for others like you.

Who can take part

  • You have been diagnosed with left ventricular non-compaction (LVNC).
  • Your LVNC diagnosis was made between 2010 and 2020 (if joining the retrospective group).
  • You are 18 years old or older.
  • You do not have any other heart muscle disease (cardiomyopathy) that is linked to a genetic mutation you carry.

Study on non-ischemic heart muscle diseases

This study looks at different types of heart muscle diseases that are not caused by blocked arteries (non-ischemic cardiomyopathies). It aims to better understand how to diagnose, predict outcomes, and treat these conditions by gathering information from many patients over time.

Risk study for non-compaction of the heart muscle

This study is for people with a rare heart condition called non-compaction of the ventricular myocardium, where the heart muscle has a spongy appearance. It aims to find better ways to predict risks and prevent complications.

Non-ischemic Cardiomyopathy Registry and Biobank

This registry study collects information, blood samples, and MRI images from people with non-ischemic cardiomyopathy (a heart muscle disease not caused by blocked arteries). By joining, you help researchers better understand the condition and find new ways to diagnose and treat it.

Study of NVC-001 for heart muscle disease caused by LMNA gene change

This trial tests an experimental drug called NVC-001 for people with a specific genetic heart condition (LMNA-related dilated cardiomyopathy) that causes the heart to become weak and enlarged. The goal is to see if the drug can help improve heart function.
