Who can take part

  • You must be 18 or older and have a liposarcoma that has a specific genetic change (CDK4 or MDM2 amplification).
  • Your tumor must be able to be removed by surgery, and you plan to have radiation therapy before surgery.
  • You need to be in good overall health, with adequate blood counts, liver and kidney function, and an ECOG performance status of 0 or 1 (meaning you can do your daily activities).
  • You cannot have had chemotherapy or other cancer drugs for this diagnosis, or radiation to the same area before.
  • You cannot have a history of blood clots in the last year, or certain heart rhythm problems, or use blood thinners for treatment of prior clots.
  • You must not be pregnant or breastfeeding, and you must agree to use effective birth control if applicable.
