Who can take part

  • Your baby weighed less than 1000 grams (about 2.2 pounds) at birth.
  • Your baby was born before 28 weeks of pregnancy.
  • Your baby needed a breathing machine (ventilator) within the first 3 days of life.
  • Your baby will have their first planned breathing tube removal within the first 6 weeks of life.
  • Your baby does not have serious birth defects or heart problems.
