Who can take part

  • You are between 18 and 50 years old
  • Your BMI is between 20 and 35
  • You are in good general health with no major medical issues
  • For HAPE-prone group: you have had a documented episode of HAPE at high altitude and live below 3,000 feet
  • For HAPE-resistant group: you have traveled to high altitude without getting HAPE and live below 3,000 feet
  • For healthy controls: you are a Colorado resident
