This study tests whether a memory medication called donepezil (Aricept) can help strengthen bones in people with memory problems. If you have mild cognitive impairment or dementia and are not already on a similar medication, you may be able to join.

Who can take part
- You have a diagnosis of memory problems (such as mild cognitive impairment or dementia).
- You are willing to start a new medication for your memory.
- You are a woman over 55 (or under 55 but haven't had a period for at least 12 months), or a man over 50.
- You are not currently taking memory medications like donepezil, rivastigmine, or memantine.
- You have no major heart rhythm problems or a history of fainting.
- You haven't taken osteoporosis drugs or certain other medications in the past 6 months to 5 years.
