Who can take part
- You must be in the ICU after being brought back from a cardiac arrest (whether in or out of the hospital).
- You must be in a coma (unconscious) with a Glasgow Coma Scale score below 8, and need sedation and cooling treatment for at least 24 hours.
- You cannot have a do-not-resuscitate order or be expected to pass away soon.
- Your heart rhythm must be a normal sinus rhythm (no irregular heartbeats like atrial fibrillation).
- You cannot be pregnant or breastfeeding.
- You cannot be under legal guardianship or have objected to the study (or your trusted person objects).
